In this weeks blog post, we are going to take a deeper look into the products we offer, their features and why we have chosen to supply them.
The vented floor tile
At first glance, these look stylish and can be used to create a personalised flooring that really matches your aesthetic, but beyond the looks, why would you consider flooring your garage or workshop with them? Are they functional?
The simple answer: YES!
The modular design of our 400mm x 400mm click together tiles means you can design any aesthetic that you want, it also allows you to switch out tiles in the event that you accidentally damage them, or if you just want to change the colour of your border!
The tiles themselves have a load rating of an estimated 6 tonnes making them suitable for heavy duty applications. This is why we give you a 10-year guarantee.
They are also designed with safety in mind, they come with anti slip properties to avoid accidents, as well as being vented, meaning that they are excellent for drainage which is why they are becoming so popular in detailing workshops and alike!
The final question we get asked all the time if how do we clean under them? What if we spill something? Well if it's dust or similar, the vented design means you can hoover straight through them. If you spill something nasty that needs cleaning up, you have a couple of options, you can pull up a tile or a small section to clean, or you can wash it away with water if the situation warrants it! Easy!
All these functional design features and super easy to self install aspect of the tile and you are onto a winner, although if DIY isn't your thing, you can get in touch for an installation quote!
LED Hex lighting kits
These lights have really blown up over the last 12 months, and its hard not to see why. These high powered LED lighting systems really pack a punch and look great while doing it!
A bit about the tech specs of our LED hex kits! They come to you in a kit that you assemble yourself to reduce shipping sizes. All the connectors and connectable strips that you need come in the box, all you have to do is lay connect the bits together! They come with power in cable that is unmade, allowing you to wire it onto a plug socket or directly into the lighting circuit and expects your standard UK mains supply voltage!
This lighting kit when fully put together bolsters a massive 4840mm x 2430mm outer rectangle with the hex section that sits inside, however these both come separately wired allowing you to control the outer edge and the inner hexes individually if wanted or required!
When we said earlier that these lights pack a punch, we meant it! With an impressive 540W max power consumption at 110lm/W, you can expect a light output of 59400 lumens! That is seriously bright! (which is why you have the option to wire the outer rectangle and the inner hexes onto separately controlled switches!)
The light produced is daylight (6500k) with a beam angle of 120 degrees and a CRI of 90 for any of you lighting enthusiasts out there!
Each connector piece has a small hole molded into it, allowing it to be used as a fixing point, whether that's straight onto the ceiling or with suspension wires to have the hex kit dangling, we just encourage you to attach from every point to give the kit the stability it requires!
Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to install the lighting kits, however this is something that we are working towards changing!
So, what's next?
Well, for now we are specialists in our products and we can vouch for the quality of what we supply, however we are always on the look out for the next big thing, the new and up coming product that will help create your perfect garage transformation!
We recently shared product testing of axle pads and jacking pads, we have seen competitors "um" and "ah" over whether you can jack up on their tiles, however we don't like to give maybe's or no's without solution, so our self designed jacking and axle pads will be joining the collection soon to give you peace of mind when working on your vehicles in your garage or workshop, that you are not going to damage the aesthetic by breaking a tile!
We also have other irons in the fire which I can't reveal too much about at the moment but we are testing a couple of other products! We hope to be offering these soon, providing they live up to our high standards of quality and functionality, so keep your eyes peeled for those!
